Tauriel Wig

So here are my ups and downs with my Tauriel wig ;)

As my wig arrived in the mail, I was so very happy with it, it looked incredible for a synthetic wig! (left picture)
Then I started the braiding and it became a nightmere ;P Braiding and rebraiding and rebraiding it again...
After a while I decided to add a widows peak after all. (right picture) Even if it's just a smal one, it looks much mor natural now.

Als meine Perücke bei mir ankam, war ich total begeistert. Sie sah so toll aus für eine Kusthaarperücke! (linkes Bild)
Dann habe ich mit dem flechten begonnen und sie wurde zum Alptraum ;P flechten und nochmals neu flechten und nochmals neu flechten.....
Nach einer Weile habe ich beschlossen doch einen Spitz einzuknüpfen. (rechtes Bild) Auch wenns nur ein kleiber Spitz ist, es sieht schon viel natürlicher aus jetzt.

After all this braiding and rebraiding, my wig looked awful! It was all frizzy and tangled. So I had to kind of reset it before braiding it again.....
I gave it a nice bath with fabric softener ;)
-->1 part softener, 3 parts lukewarm water. I left it in there for about 4 houres and then let it dry on a towl. The drying took about 1.5 days

Nach all den Flechtversuchen sah meine Perücke schrecklich aus! Sie war voll verknotet und zerzaust. Also musste ich sie erst wieder in einen anständigen Zustand versetzen...
Drum hab ich ihr ein Bad gegönnt mit Weichspüler zusatz ;)
-->1 Teil Weichspüler, 3 Teile lauwarmes Wasser. Ich hab die Perücke ca. 4 Stunden eingeweicht und danach auf einem Tuch trocknen lassen. Das Trocknen dauerte ca. 1.5 Tage

 

My wig is heat resistan up to 150 degrees, makes it a lot easier to style. So after it was dry, I started combing and brushing it and straighten it with a flat iron. (only do this if you wig is heat resistant!!)
And yay, it looked as good as new and is very soft again :D

Meine Perücke ist hitzeresistent bis zu 150 Grad, das macht einiges einfacher beim stylen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich begonnen die Perücke zu kämmen und zu bürsten und mit einem Haarglätter zu strecken. (Macht das bitte nur wenn eure Perücke auch hitzeresisten ist!!)
Und juhuuu sie sah aus wie neu und ist wieder schön weich :D

Back to braiding ;) I again did the top braidings several times, before I was satisfied. Still not completely happy, but it looks okay... Then on to the fishtail braid in the back and at last the rope braids on the sides.

Zurück zum flechten ;) Die oberen Zöpfe musste ich wieder einige male wiederholen, bis ich zufrieden war damit. Ich bin immernoch nicht super happy damit, aber es sieht ok aus... Dann kam der Fischgräten-Zopf hinten und die Kordelzöpfe auf den Seiten.

Then again some coming and straightening before I did the curls with the curling iron (again only do this with a heat resistant wig!!)

Dann wieder kämmen und strecken bevor ich schlussendlich die Locken reingemacht habe mit einem Lockenstab (auch hier, nur machen mit einer hitzeresistenten Perücke!!)

A small tipp, which I read somewhere: 
I made a detangler spray for my wig.  No it's not actually Frizz Ease for synthetic wigs (just my old bottle, any spray bottle will do ;) ) I mixed again 1 part fabric softener with 3 parts water and it works perfectly! :)) try it out!

Kleiner Tip, den ich irgendwo gelesen haben:
Ich habe mir einen Entwirrungs-Spray für die Perücke gemacht. Nein es ist kein Frizz Ease für synthetische Haare (das ist nur eine alte Flasche von mir, also jede Sprühflasche geht ;) ) Ich habe wieder 1 Teil Weichspüler mit 3 Teilen Wasser gemischt und es funktioniert wunderbar!! :)) Probiert es aus, es lohnt sich!

And some pictues of me wearing the wig. It's not properly fixed yet, I'm going to need some glue to put it in place. I also did a short make up test,  to see how it goes along with the red hair. Not completely happy with it eighter, but then it was just a test.

Und hier noch eine paar Bilder von mir mit Perücke. Sie sitzt noch nicht perfekt, ich werde sie dann noch mit Klebstoff befestigen, damit sie da hält wo sie sollte. 
Zudem habe ich einen kurzen Make Up Test gemacht, um zu sehen wie es mit den roten Haaren passt. Da bin ich auch noch nicht ganz zufrieden, aber es war ja nur ein Test. 
Übrigens habe ich mir noch grüne Kontaktlinsen gekauft :)
