Mini-Gürtel / Mini-Belt

Gestern habe ich den Gürtel für mein Puppenkleid fertig gemacht

Yesterday I finished the belt for my doll dress

Die Kanten und Wellenlininen sind mit dem Kettenstich gemacht

For the edges and wavy lines I used the chain stitch

Danach habe ich das Gürtelchen mit kleinen Pailletten und Glasperlen verziert

Afterwards I decorated the mini belt with smal sequins and beads








Jetzt kommt noch der silberne Umhang und dann bin ich auch schon fertig mit meinem ersten Puppenkleid. Ich werde dann natürlich ein Fotoshooting mit der Barbiepuppe und dem kompletten Kostüm machen ;)

Now I only have to do the silver cloak and then I am finished with my first Barbie size costume.
Of course I will have a foto shoot with the doll and here finised costume ;)

My Fair Lady Fotoshooting Part 1

Ich hatte vor 2 Wochen ein Fotoshooting mit all meinen My Fair Lady Kostümen (5 insgesamt).
Heute zeige ich das 1. Kostüm, das Blumenmädchen. Inspiriert vom Film mit Audrey Hepburn.

Two weeks ago a had a My Fair Lady costumes fotoshoot (5 outfits total).
Today I will show you the first costume, the flower girl. Ispired by the movie with Audrey Hepburn.

Puppenkleid / Doll Dress

Mein Puppenkleid macht langsam Fortschritte ;)

Die Ärmel sind hier noch nicht gefüttert und nur dazugelegt

Gestern habe ich noch die Stickerei am Ausschnitt gemacht mit Mini-Rocaillen und Mini-Pailletten

Yesterday I made the beading on the neckline with mini-rocailles and mini-sequins






Jetzt muss ich am Kleid nur noch den Saum und den Verschluss machen. Dann kommt noch der bestickte Gurt und der Umhang ;)

Now I only have to make the seam and the closure. After that I will also make a silver beaded belt and a cape ;)

Happy Halloween

Da heute Halloween ist, zeig ich einige meiner "Dark Creatures" Kostüme. Sind zwar nicht meine aktuellen Projekte, aber passend für den heutigen Tag.

As it's Halloween today, I would like to share some of my "Dark Creatures" costumes. They are not current projects, but fit perfectly for this day.

Die Rote Spinnenfrau
Dieses Kostüm habe ich im 2001 gefertigt und war inspiriert von Spiderman ;) Es besteht aus einem Korsett und Rock

I made this costume in 2001 and it was inspired by Spiderman ;)
It's a corsett and skirt

Die Teufelin
Auch dieses Kostüm besteht aus einem Korsett und einem Rock mit Petticoat. Dieses Outfit ist aus dem Jahr 2011

This costume has also a corset and a skirt with petticoat.
It's from 2011

Der Tod
Dieses Gewand ist abgeleitet vom Ringgeistkostüm, mit vielen Schichten. Die Handschuhe sind nicht sebst gemacht, passen aber super gut dazu. Das Gesicht ist geschminkt. 
Ist ebenfalls im 2011 entstanden

This robe is derived from the Ringwraith costume, it has several layers. The gloves are not self-made, but the match perfectly. The face is all make up. It's also from 2011

Ein mehrlagiges Kleid mit Korsett beides künstlich gealtert. Von 2012

Akasha - Queen of the Damed
Zu guter letzt mein absolutes liebliegs Halloweenkostüm :) War auch eines meiner aufwendigsten Arbeiten. Zweilagiger Tellerrock mit Grut (zT. aus gekleistertem und bemaltem Karton)
Zweilagige Ärmel mit Goldperlen verziert. Brustschalen, Krone und restlicher Schmuck ist zum grössten Teil auch aus gekleistertem, bemalten Karton, Draht, Ketten und diversen Metallperlen

Akasha - Queen of the Damed
My all time favorit Halloween costume :) It was also one of my most time consuming outfits that I ever made. It has ab double layerd skirt with a belt (partly made of pasted and painted cardboard)
The bust part, crown and the rest of the jewelry is also in lage parts made of plasted and painted cardboard, wire, chains and several metal beads




So das war's mit dem Halloween-Spezial :) Nächste Woche gibts wieder ein Update vom Barbie Kostüm.

Puppenkleid in Arbeit / Doll dress in progress

Sorry at the moment I'm just getting nowhere... that's why I couldn' post untill today ;)

Hier habe ich mal den dunkelblauen Samt zugeschnitten und zusammen gesteckt. Bereit zum zusammennähen.
Weils so klein ist find ichs total süss :D

I cut the dark blue velvet and pinned it together, reaty to be sewn together.
It's everything so adorable smal  :D

Ein Bild vom Samt mit den winzigen Rocaillesperlen und den kleinen Pailletten. Zur Referenz das Massband (cm)
Die Pailletten waren ursprünglich "normal" gross und ich hab sie dann mit einer Lochzange verkleinert, gar nicht mal so einfach. Wie man sehen kann, habe ich nicht immer die Mitte getroffen ;)
Mit der Zeit bekommt man etwas Übung.

The sequin where originally "normal" sized ones. I used a hole puche to make them smal. It was quite a chalange, as you can see I didn't always hit the middel ;)
But well I got better after some time.




Vielleicht schaff ich's heute noch etwas dran zu arbeiten, ansonsten gibts morgen einen Post zu einem anderen Thema.....

Puppen-Kostüm erste Schritte / Doll costume first steps

Ich habe mich jetzt an das miniatur Kostüm gewagt... das wird mir ja eine knifflige Angelegenheit werden... ;)

I just startet with the miniature costume... this is goning to be a very fiddly affair... ;)

Ich habe erstmal ein Probekleidchen aus einem anderen Stoff gemacht um das Schnittmuster zu testen. Das Kleid ist mit etwas zu lang, dafür werde ich den Ärmel noch etwas länger machen....

First a made a test dress from another fabric to see if the pattern fits. I think the dress is a bit to long and I will make the sleeves a bit longer....









Weiter bin ich bis jetzt leider nicht gekommen, morgen gehts dann weiter mit dem Kleid

That's as far as I got till now, tomorrow I'll continue with the dress

Dieses Kleid habe ich mir fürs Mittelerde Fest 2012 gemacht und davon werde ich nun ein Miniaturkostüm fertigen inkl. Umhang :)

I made this dress for the Middel Earth Festival 2012 and now I will make a miniature version of it including the cloak :)

Puppen-Projekt / Doll Project

Ich wollte schon seit längerem wieder mal ein Puppenkostüm fertigen, habe als Kind schon gerne Barbiekleider gebastelt ;) Für diese Projekt verwende ich eine normale alte Barbiepuppe.
Mein 1. Puppenkleid wird ein Elbenkleid :)

Someting I wanted to do for quite some time now, a doll costume. I've made many Barbie costumes when I was a child ;) For this project I use a normal size older Barbie doll.
My first doll costume will be an Elven dress :)

Zuerst werde ich meine Puppe mal schön überarbeiten..... ;)

At first I will do a complete doll makeover..... ;)

Hier ist die Puppe im ursprungszustand, braune Haare mit Strähnchen und violette Augen (was mir beides gar nicht passt...)

Here is the doll in it's origin condition, braun hair with highlights and violet eyes (and I don't like that at all....)

Also habe ich die Puppe fürs Haare färben vorbereitet. Habe sie in Klarsichtfolie gewickelt, damit der Körper nicht dreckig wird beim färben.

So I prepared the doll for the hair dyeing. I wrapped her in plastic foil, so she won't get dirty during the coloring.

Dann habe ich ein Farbmischung gemacht aus schwarzer und etwas braunen Acryl Farbe und mit Wasser gemischt. Die Färbung habe ich von den Spitzen in die Haare gekämmt.

Then I made a color mix out of black and a little brown acryl color mixed with water. I combed in the dye starting from the tip of the hair.



Als nächstes habe ich dir Haare trocknen lassen an der Sonne. (man könnte einen Föhn benützen, ich führe aber leider keinen)
Anschliessend wollte ich die Haar strecken. Dies klappt super in dem man kochendes Wasser (Wasserkocher) über den Puppenkopf giesst und dann die Haare auskämmt. Dann wieder trocknen lassen.

Next I let the hair dry in the sun (you could use a hairdryer, but I unfortunately don't own one)
After the drying I wanted to straighten the hair. This works great by pouring boiling water (water boiler) over the doll head and then comb out the hair. After that let it dry again.




Im nächsten Schritt habe ich das Gesicht der Barbie mit Aceton entfernt, geht ganz leicht.

The next step was removing the Barbie face with aceton, it's really easy.

Dann gings weiter mit dem neuen Gesicht. Das 1. Bild zeigt mal das Weiss der Augen und die Augenbrauen.

Then I went on to drawing a new Face. The first pic shows the white of the eyes and the eyebrows.

Hier sind die Augen bereits fertig.

Nun sind auch die Lippen fertig ;)

Und hier noch ein vorher/nachher Bild :) Ich bin ganz zufrieden mit meiner 1. Puppe, sie hat aber noch Verbesserungspotential ;))

I'm quite happy with the result, as it was my first doll make over, but it has improvement potential ;))
