Here you can see my basic pattern and the actual pattern pieces. The base helps you the get the right shape. Try that one first until you're satisfied.
After that I draw the lines (upper edges of the collar pieces) and made the actual pattern.
The pieces won't be sewn together (only in the back) so the have to overlap each other, so make sure you make the pieces wide enough.
I testet the final pattern as well, just to be sure, before I cut the leather. I used a soft lamb nappa from www.lederhaus.de
As I was happy with my pattern, I continued with the real collor :)
Here cutting the leather pieces:
I didn't sew the edges, I glued them down with a pritt roll on. This works fantastic with light soft leather.
Then I also used a little bit of glue to join the pieces together and hold them in place. But only in the front and the back.
In the back I sewed in a velcro strip. And that's it, the collar is done ;)
