Wonder Woman Boots

Erster Schritt zu meinem Wonder Woman Kostüm ist das einfärben der Stiefel ;)

First step to my Wonder Woman costume ist dyeing the boots ;)

Ich habe diese Kustlerderstiefel im Ausverkauf erworben. Eigentlich wollte ich höhere Stiefel, aber so Cowboy-Look find ich auch sehr passend. Sie waren dafür auch ein Schnäppchen ;)

I bought this boots on sale. Actually I wanted higher ones, but this cowboy-look suits quite well for me and they were a real snip ;)

Die dunklen Stellen sowie Absatz/Sohle habe ich mit Malerklebeband abgeklebt um sie vor dem bevorstehenden "Sprühregen" zu schützen.

The dark parts as well as the heel and sole I covered with tape to protect it from the forthcoming spray.

So sieht das dann nach dem färben aus. Ich habe wasserfesten, rubinroten Glanzspray verwendet. Auf diesem Bild ist die Farbe noch nass, ganz so fest glänzen sie nicht mehr.

This ist what the boot looks like after the dyeing. I used whaterproofed, ruby red gloss spray. On this picture the color is still wet and looks very glossy.

Da sind sie nun, die fertigen Stiefel. Die ausgesparten dunkeln Stellen habe ich noch mit goldener Acrylfarbe angemalt und fertig. Ich bin sehr zu frieden mit dem Resultag :D

Here they are, the finished boots. After removing the tape I painted the dark areas with golden acryl color. I am very happy with the result :D
