Materialien für dieses Kleid: Unterstoff ist Baumwolle, Überstoff creme farbener Chiffon, zudem brauchte ich unzählige Pailletten, Glasperlen und Strasssteine

Used material: the underfabric is cotton, over fabric is chiffon and I also used countless squins, beads and rhinestones

Die Strasssteine in der vorderen Mitte sind auf das Kleid geklebt mit einem entsprechenden Applikator

The rhinestones on the front pice are glued to the fabric with an applicator
Die Ärmel und der Kragen sind komplett von Hand bestickt, hat ganz schön lange gedauert, dafür bin ich sehr zu frieden mit dem Resultat ;)

The sleeves and the collar are complete hand embroidered. I took me quite a long time to do it, but it was worth it ;)
So jetzt gibts nur noch ein "My Fair Lady" Kleid vorzustellen, evt. schaff ich das morgen....

1. Schritt: Brotkatkleid-Teil zuschneiden

Step 1: cut the brocad-dress-parts
Hier ist der Brokatstoff einfach mal zusammengesteckt, um zu sehen wie das Kleid aussehen wird

Here is the brocade fabric, just pinned together, so I could see how it will look
Die Silberborte für den Ausschnitt und die Ärmel habe ich mit etwas schwarzer Stoffmalfarbe dunkler gefärbt.
Oben original Farbe unten gefärbt. Ich wollte einen Kontrast zum Silberbrokat ;)

I darkend the silver trim für neckline and sleeves with some black fabric paint.
The upper one is the original color and belowe the painted one. I wanted to have a contrast to the silverbrocade ;)

Weisser Baumwollstoff für drunter und weisse Spitze. Der schwarz-weisse Steifenstoff ist ebenfalls Baumwolle

Für die Volants am Kragen und an den Ärmel habe ich Seiden-Organza verwendet

For the valances on collar and sleeves I used silk-organza

Gleich wie beim Blumenmädchen-Kleid, habe ich auch hier Karton mit Zeitungspapier verstärkt für die Grundlage

Similar to the hat from the flower-girls dress, I started with cardboard and made it stronger with some newspaper
Dann habe ich den Hut mit schwarzem Baumwoll-Samt und weisser Baumwolle überzogen

Then I coated it with black cotton velvet and whit cotton
Zur Verzierung: die Masche wie auf dem Kleid, sowie weisse und schwarze Straussenfedern und rote und rosane Stoffblumen :)

For decoration: a bow like the ones on the dress, black and white ostrich feathers and red and light pink silk flowers :)

Das Kleid ist aus einem drunkelgrünem Satinstoff. Der Gurt aus dukelblauem Satin

The dress is made of dark-green satin fabric and the belt of dark-blue satin
Das Kleid wird mit einem Reissverschluss am Rücken geschlossen

The dress closes with a sipper in the back

Der "Dramatische Verein Uetikon" frührt dieses Jahr das berühmte Musical "My Fair Lady" auf.
Dafür habe ich die 5 Kostüme für die Hauptrolle Eliza Doolittle geschneidert.

The "Dramatische Verein Uetiokon" (A theater club) brings the famous musical "My Fair Lady" on stage this season.
I made 5 costumes for the leading roll Eliza Doolittle.
Hier mein Entwurf für ihr Blumenmädchenkleid (sehr ähnlich dem Filmkleid)

The finished dress
Die Bluse ist aus feiner weisser Baumwolle mit eingewebten kleinen Punkten, sie wird hinten mit Druckknöpfen geschlossen.
Der Unterrock ist ebenfalls aus einem Baumwollstoff, der Volant ist mit einer weissen Spitze am Saum verziert. Die Spitze habe ich in Schwarztee gefärbt, vorher war sie Schneeweiss.

For the blouse I used a white fine cotton fabric with smal dots. It closes at the back with snaps.
The underskirt is also made out of cotton.The valance seam is decoreted with white lace. I dyed the lace with black tea to match it the rest of the underskirt.
Der Rock ist aus einem dunkelbraunem Wollimitastoff. Den Saum habe ich extra ausgefranst und eingeschnitten, damit es so aussieht, als ob Eliza diesen Rock schon ewigs hat und nur diesen trägt.
Die Schürze ist wiederum aus Baumwolle, ich habe sie mit Stoffmalfarbe verfleckt ;)

The Skirt is made of a dark brown wool imitation. I made the seam look like Eliza has worn it day by day for a long time.
For the apron I used cotton again. I colord it in some places to make it look dirty ;)
Der Mantel ist aus einem olivgrünem Velours Stoff mit 2 Knöpfen gelossen.

The coat is made of an olive-green velour fabric, it closes with to buttons.
Hier der Rohbau des Hutes. Er ist aus Karton und mit Kleister und Zeitungspapier verstärkt. Danach mit schwarzem Stoff überzogen. Leider habe ich vergessen Bilder vom fertigen Hut zu machen....

Here is the hat at it's beginning. It's made of cardboard and to make it stronger I used some newspager and glue. Afterwards I coated it with black fabric. Unfortunately I forgot to make pictures of the finished had.....
Sobald die letzte Theatervorstellung vorbei ist, werde ich ein Kostüm-Fotoshooting machen mit all meinen My Fair Lady Kleidern. Ich freu mich schon drauf :)

As soon as the theater is over, I will do a costume-fotoshooting with all my "My Fair Lady" dresses. I'm looking forward to that :)
Es ist bereits wieder lang her seit meinem letzten Post, es wird also höchste Zeit! Untätig war ich ganz und gar nicht, hatte einfach fast keine Zeit um meinen Blog zu aktualisieren....
Zudem werde ich per sofort und in Zukunft alle Posts in Deutsch und Englisch verfassen ;)
Wenn ich Zeit finde werde ich auch einige der älteren Beiträge übersetzten.
